The Bands

Bands are listed here alphabetically and by genre. Some bands may be found under two genres, either because they play both, or because their genre is a crossover genre (ex: Horror Punk is Punk with Metal influences).

Alphabetize 

Electronic - Anything made with electronic sounds as opposed to instruments. Self explanatory.

Ccamofrogg - Electronic/Rap duo. Both members were in The Astrozombies.

Heavy Metal - The media's favourite target whenever a Satanic cult is uncovered, Heavy Metal is for outcasts, self-proclaimed badasses, and the slightly insane.

The Astrozombies - Horror Punk band, fairly well known in the area.

Chris Barnes - Punk rock with metal influences, leaning more toward metal now.

The Entropy - Metal band, fairly successful, tours Canada. Grant Boyer is a member.

Instrumental - Everything from instrumental rock to ambient beats to drum circles.

Blue Star Tattoos - Ambient music group, now defunct. Featured most of Tokko Bandito.

Francie Copelli - Contemporary Jazz/Instrumental. Francie was in Tokko Bandito and Blue Star Tattoos.

KayZeeJay - Ambient Instrumental band, heavily modified.

Strobe Light Individual - Ambient/Noise. Jeffe Penny of the Astrozombies.

Tokko Bandito - Ambient music group, now defunct.

Jazz - Everything from Sinatra to Coltraine. If it sounds similar, this is where it belongs.

Francie Copelli - Contemporary Jazz/Instrumental. Francie was in Tokko Bandito and Blue Star Tattoos.

Metalcore/Post-Hardcore/Screamo - Three different genres that always end up getting meshed in together because of their similarities. Metalcore is punk influenced metal, Post-Hardcore is metal influenced hardcore punk, and Screamo is a different genre, often confused with the two.

Winter Apocalypse - Post-Hardcore artist, also does softer stuff.

Punk Rock - Loud, ugly and offensive. Punk rock is all about sticking it to the man and doing everything to the extreme.

The Astrozombies - Horror Punk band, fairly well known in the area.

Baddest Blood - Post Punk band, composed of members of The Lucas Project and Planet Shhh!

Born '94 - Pop Punk, skilled guitarists, low-pitched vocals.

Chris Barnes - Punk rock with metal influences, leaning more toward metal now.

Crippled By Bears - Post Punk band, composed of two members from The Astrozombies.

Planet Shhh! - Post Punk band, now defunct. Richie and Greg now play for Baddest Blood.

Spork - Skate Punk band, now defunct.

Utopia Look-Alike - Punk/Rock band, has played shows with The Johnstones and The Silversun Pickups.

Rap, Hip Hop and R&B - Beats for the G inside you. Rap is for those hard enough to pop a cap in your ass and then sing about it.

Diaz - Rapper from Toronto, fairly successful.

Hard North Hustle - Rap group, somewhat well known in the area.

Master D Lirious - Rapper who is presumed to be local due to his ragging on X-State. Uses heavy voice modification.

X-State - Local rapper with a higher voice than Eminem.

Rock and Roll - The root of it all. Most modern music has it's roots in some form of Rock and Roll.

Bend Over Backwards  - Rock and roll artist in the vein of Rush or Whitesnake.

Cameron Austin - Folk Rock, Austin is a teacher, uses world melodies.

Grant Boyer - Member of The Entropy. Plays softer rock when he plays solo.

The Lucas Project - Somewhat large band in the area, softer, more melodic.

Utopia Look-Alike - Punk/Rock band, has played shows with The Johnstones and The Silversun Pickups.
